PRIVATE CLASSES
Private classes allow you to learn in a way that caters for you as an individual. Your sequence is tailored to your unique needs and designed to help you achieve your goals.
In our initial pre-class consultation, we’ll discuss what you are looking for in your practice, and the style and practices that may suit your needs. For many people to feel safe emotionally or physically, they need to trust that the teacher can hold space for them. For many people there can be an initial element of anxiety associated with learning yoga, and the studio environment is not suitable for everyone.

Private classes are usually 60, 75 or 90 minutes.
They may include:
-
Breathwork
-
Meditation
-
Myofascial release
-
Lymphatic self-massage
-
Yoga for peri-post Menopause
-
Yoga with weights
-
Yoga Nidra
-
Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa or Restorative Yoga
What I’d recommend for you to get the most out of your private classes:
-
Set your mats up in a room that is heated to about 25 degrees
-
Leave your phones in another room or turn them on airplane mode
-
Light a candle or incense if that’s something you enjoy
-
Be dressed and ready to start at the designated starting time
-
Relax - there are no expectations I have of you and none you should place on yourself. It will be an opportunity to feel, learn and grow.
Years of working with clients individually, has taught me to hold space for how the client shows up on the day. I support their goals, encourage their efforts and sense what shapes, pace and tone will best serve them in that moment. I empower them to make choices in their practice, to verbalise their concerns or questions if they wish, and hold space for whatever arises within them. Essentially my goal is for them to immerse themselves in the experience so they almost forget I am there. I teach them tools they can use to manage stress and to find greater ease in their bodies. I aim to increase their confidence so they reduce their dependence on a teacher and establish greater trust in themselves.
Eventually I’m proud to watch many of them leave me with greater self awareness, more confidence in their own yoga practice, and some then go on to join studio classes.
